Rock Master 2026

About the event

Rock Master is one of the most historic and prestigious climbing competitions in the world. For 2026 it continues the renewal begun in 2025, becoming a climbing event-festival that combines competition, spectacle and participation, in line with Garda Trentino's outdoor identity. The three-day format spreads the programme across enthusiasts, families, amateur athletes and media.

At its core is the contest between the world's best eight male and eight female athletes in Boulder and Lead. New additions round out the event: The Fun Bloc, guided crag experiences and excursions into local climbing terrain, meet & greets with top climbers, and DJ sets in the Village, which also has a Kids Area with climbing walls, slackline and skate.

2026 marks 40 years of climbing events in Arco, tracing back to Sport Roccia in 1986 on the natural rock of Monte Colodri, the 1987 move to Castello di Arco under the Rock Master name, and the 1988 construction of the Climbing Stadium — the first permanent artificial climbing structure of its kind.

Getting to Arco

Leave the A22 at Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord and follow the SS240 towards Riva, turning off for Arco; from the north you can also exit at Trento Nord and drive down the Sarca valley on the SS45bis. The nearest station is Rovereto, with Trentino Trasporti buses to Arco, Riva and Torbole. The Sarca cycle path runs from Arco to the lake at Torbole.

Parking: The Caneve car park is the usual starting point for the Sarca cycle path to Torbole; the Carmellini car park is another common base for rides and walks.

About Arco

Arco lies a few kilometres inland from Riva, where the Sarca valley widens and a limestone crag topped by the Castello di Arco rises above olive groves.
