About the event

On Sunday 18 October 2026, Parco Giardino Sigurtà hosts “In Volo” for the first time, a day dedicated to imagination and flight, with magicians, acrobatics, juggling, shows, stilt walkers and soap bubbles. Among the curiosities on display are a full-scale reproduction of a 1915 Nieuport 17 biplane and a rare 1929 Renault Monasix converted for transporting and launching a hot-air balloon.

Two workshops run through the day: one on soap bubbles, and one led by Aero Club di Verona Boscomantico Airport, with themed drawings, balloon-shaped lanterns, radio-communication trials and facts about the history of flight. Completing both workshops and collecting their stamps on a card allows visitors to board a real hot-air balloon for a tethered flight and see the Park from a new perspective.

Getting to Valeggio sul Mincio

Valeggio has no railway station (its old Mantova–Peschiera line closed in 1967); the nearest is Peschiera del Garda on the Milan–Venice line. By car it is a short drive south from the Peschiera del Garda exit of the A4. By bike, follow the Mincio cycle path from Peschiera.
