Sentinelle di pietra returns with its series of events held across the forts of Trentino, dedicated to rediscovering historical heritage and reflecting on the value of peace. On Friday 2 October, at 17:30, the Biblioteca comunale at Il Forte di Nago hosts the presentation of the book "Le parole della guerra": a dialogue with author Valentina Pazé, moderated by Cristina Cassese.

According to the publisher's (Bollati Boringhieri) presentation, at a time when war again seems a "normal" horizon of politics, the book shows that the first battlefield is language: terms such as democracy, defence, genocide, law and desertion are stretched, reversed and emptied out until they become tools of manipulation. It is a book for those who do not resign themselves to the language of the "just war".

Getting to Nago-Torbole

Take the A22 exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord and the SS240 to Nago, where the road drops to Torbole. Trentino Trasporti buses run from Rovereto station to Torbole, Riva and Arco. Torbole is also a stop on the Navigazione Laghi boat line to Riva, and cycle paths link it with Arco and Nago.

Ferry: Stop on the Navigazione Laghi line between Riva del Garda and Limone/Malcesine and the southern lake; not every run calls here, so check the timetable.

About Nago-Torbole

Nago-Torbole is two villages in one municipality: Torbole on the shore at the mouth of the Sarca, and Nago on the rocky shelf above it, where the road from Rovereto first reaches the lake.
