"Leggere (al) Forte": read-aloud stories and a hands-on workshop with Elisabetta Parisi

About the event

This is the second meeting in the "Leggere (al) Forte" series with Elisabetta Parisi, for children from age 4 and the adults who bring them.

Each session opens with a read-aloud of quality picture books; one of them is chosen as the starting point for a hands-on activity, where the group reworks ideas from the story by making something with their hands.

This time the session is dedicated to water, waves and wind, and to the deepest and most magical color there is. The group becomes a team of naval engineers: armed with paper, glue and scissors, they build a hat-sculpture — a crown of waves holding a real boat ready to set sail on top.

The organisers describe the close as an invitation to "fly", as in the well-known song, with the idea that a little imagination can make any journey possible. Parents are asked to take part as collaborators, not just as onlookers.

Getting to Nago-Torbole

Take the A22 exit Rovereto Sud/Lago di Garda Nord and the SS240 to Nago, where the road drops to Torbole. Trentino Trasporti buses run from Rovereto station to Torbole, Riva and Arco. Torbole is also a stop on the Navigazione Laghi boat line to Riva, and cycle paths link it with Arco and Nago.

Ferry: Stop on the Navigazione Laghi line between Riva del Garda and Limone/Malcesine and the southern lake; not every run calls here, so check the timetable.

About Nago-Torbole

Nago-Torbole is two villages in one municipality: Torbole on the shore at the mouth of the Sarca, and Nago on the rocky shelf above it, where the road from Rovereto first reaches the lake.
