Traditional Fiera di San Michele in Calmasino

About the event

The Antica Fiera di San Michele returns to Calmasino from 25 to 27 September 2026, organised by the Associazione di Promozione Sociale e Culturale Calmasin nel Cor under the patronage of the Comune di Bardolino.

On Friday 25 September the kitchen opens at 19:00 in the courtyard beside the church; from 20:00 to 23:00 there is dancing in Piazza San Michele with DJ Diego Massi, Loco and the Scuola di Ballo. On Saturday 26 September, at 16:30, CTG El Vissinel leads a guided tour of the corti of Calmasino; the kitchen reopens at 19:00 and the evening continues with DJ Stefy, itinerant stilt-walkers and the Mago Malaguaco show.

Sunday 27 September is the main day: at 9:30 visitors can ring the bells with an introductory lesson on the Veronese ringing method and a concert by the Calmasino-Cavaion-Bardolino bell-ringing team, followed at 10:30 by the Patron Saint's Mass. Then come the gathering of farm vehicles, the Consorzio Agrario parade and the blessing of the tractors, the Passalibro, children's games, a ping-pong tournament, live music, the Pranzo di San Michele at 12:30 and, in the evening, "Girovagando tra mondo e stelle" with stargazing through telescopes.

Getting to Bardolino

By car, leave the A22 at Affi – Lago di Garda Sud. The nearest station is Peschiera del Garda, from where ATV line 483 follows the shore through Lazise to Bardolino; lines 162–164 run from Verona, also bookable with a train as Garda Link. Boats stop at Bardolino and Cisano.

Ferry: Regular stop on the Desenzano–Riva line; the hamlet of Cisano has its own stop just to the south.
