Torri del Benaco sits on the east shore between Garda and Brenzone, built around a small, shell-shaped harbour watched over by the Castello Scaligero, one of the lake's most important fortresses, strengthened in the 14th century under Antonio della Scala.
Inside the walls an ethnographic museum covers life on the lake, and attached to the castle is a lemon house built in 1760. Torri is also the eastern terminal of the car ferry to Maderno, a 30-minute crossing that makes it a practical base for exploring both shores.
The hillsides behind the town hold the densest cluster of prehistoric rock carvings in the area, at sites such as Crér and Brancolino, and the Pilgrim's Path (Percorso del Pellegrino) follows old mule tracks through the hamlets toward Malcesine. Free beaches line the cycle-footpath outside the centre.
Torri suits couples, walkers and anyone crossing the lake by car; in 2025 it received the honorary title of città.

- By car, leave the A22 at Affi – Lago di Garda Sud and drive down to the shore, or cross from the west side on the Maderno–Torri car ferry.

- The nearest stations are Peschiera del Garda and Verona Porta Nuova; ATV's Garda Link combines train and bus from Verona to Torri, and ATV buses run along the east shore towards Garda and Malcesine.
- By boat
- Terminal of the Maderno–Torri car ferry, a crossing of about 30 minutes carrying cars, bikes and foot passengers; a few Desenzano–Riva boats also call here.
